Videmat Ticket |
|
|
Front and back of a ticket
from a Videmat machine. |
The coins dropped into the
machine are displayed on one side of the ticket
(here a 2p piece and two pennies) with the ticket
numbering on the reverse. These machines were installed
for a while on pay-as-you-enter buses. As the driver
did not supervise the payment, passengers paid pretty
much whatever they wanted! The city council seemed
to consider this acceptable in exchange for pushing
ahead with one-man operation. |
